I-CER is ITECH’s Renewable Energy Community: an open and inclusive ecosystem created in the Salento region with the goal of maximising the value of locally generated renewable energy and making it accessible to everyone who wishes to participate — households, businesses, public bodies and local authorities. Established in full compliance with Legislative Decree 199/2021 and the CACER framework, I-CER is already operational under the current regulatory framework.

ITECH acts directly as the community coordinator and aggregator, managing the entire process — technical, administrative and regulatory — without intermediaries and with direct interaction with the GSE (Italian Energy Services Manager).

Open to Everyone

I-CER is open to photovoltaic system owners, consumers without generation assets, businesses and public organisations. There is no minimum participation threshold: benefits are distributed proportionally to the energy produced and shared within the community.

Maximised Incentives

The greater the amount of energy simultaneously generated and consumed by community members, the higher the incentives recognised by the GSE. ITECH manages the entire incentive application process and coordinates the distribution of benefits among members.

Continuous Monitoring

Through dedicated software platforms, our technicians continuously monitor the community’s energy and financial performance, managing connection points and optimising efficiency over time.

Complete Management

From establishing the community to ongoing operational management, ITECH coordinates all technical, administrative and regulatory activities, including relations with the GSE, providing members with a single, expert point of contact.

1 MWp Solar Farm

A 1 MWp photovoltaic plant is currently under development in the Salento hinterland, significantly increasing the amount of renewable energy available for sharing within I-CER.

Free Feasibility Assessment

I-CER offers free preliminary assessments using dedicated software tools to evaluate system performance, production and consumption balance, and estimated incentive revenues.

Expansion Across Southern Italy

Originally established in Salento, I-CER has already initiated partnerships aimed at progressively expanding its operations into other regions of Southern Italy, beginning with Sicily.

Shared Energy. Tangible Benefits.

The economic benefits available to I-CER members are primarily derived from incentives granted by the GSE for shared energy, in accordance with the CACER framework. For a prosumer (both producer and consumer) operating a 10 kWp photovoltaic system with annual consumption of approximately 10,000 kWh, indicative financial benefits can reach up to 10%.

For consumers without their own generation system, savings can be increased by adopting energy-efficient behaviours and concentrating electricity usage during periods of peak community generation.
