High-Complexity Electrical Infrastructure

Where Energy Changes Form. We Are There.

Transformer substations and high-, medium- and low-voltage power facilities are the critical backbone of any complex energy infrastructure. ITECH designs, builds and maintains these systems with the precision and reliability required by projects of this scale, operating throughout Italy for leading public and private sector clients.

ITECH acts directly as the Community Coordinator and Aggregator, managing the entire process — technical, administrative and regulatory — without intermediaries, while maintaining direct interaction with the GSE (Italian Energy Services Manager).

Medium-Voltage Incoming Section

The area dedicated to receiving high- or medium-voltage power, which is then routed to the transformer and stepped down to the operating voltage required by the facility.

Metering Room

The section dedicated to monitoring and recording energy consumption, equipped with specialised instrumentation for continuous power flow control and operational data analysis.

Customer Substation

The area housing transformers and electrical switchgear for the operational management of the facility, allowing direct control by the end user.

Tailor-Made Design

Every transformer substation is engineered around the client’s specific requirements in terms of power demand, safety and operational continuity, using carefully selected technologies that ensure long-term performance and reliability.

Routine and Corrective Maintenance

Scheduled and on-demand maintenance services designed to preserve the efficiency of substations and HV/MV infrastructure, supported by advanced diagnostics and response times tailored to the criticality of the installation.

Continuous Monitoring

Remote supervision systems that provide constant monitoring of plant conditions, real-time fault detection and immediate activation of intervention procedures.

Our Experience in the Field

Nationally Significant Projects. Our Track Record Speaks for Itself.

Over the years, ITECH has developed recognised expertise in the management of highly complex electrical infrastructure, delivering major projects for institutional and industrial clients across Italy. The following examples demonstrate the scale and technical level of our operations.

400 kVA Transformer Substation — Medical Mask Manufacturing Facility, Cavallino (Lecce)

ITECH designed and built a 400 kVA transformer substation to provide a continuous and secure power supply for an industrial facility dedicated to the production of medical devices. The project required careful planning of power requirements and safety considerations typical of a highly critical manufacturing environment, where uninterrupted power supply is essential to operations.

STATCOM Systems — Terna Electrical Substations, Nationwide

ITECH was awarded a strategically important contract for the inspection, routine maintenance and corrective maintenance of STATCOM systems installed in Terna electrical substations throughout Italy. The project includes operational inspections, advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance and technological upgrades, ensuring the stability and reliability of the national electricity grid.

STATCOM System — Aurelia Electrical Substation (Viterbo), NIDEC A.S.I. S.p.A. Project

On behalf of NIDEC A.S.I. S.p.A., ITECH manages the inspection, routine maintenance and corrective maintenance activities for the STATCOM installation at the Aurelia electrical substation. This project requires rigorous management, continuous monitoring and rapid intervention capabilities to ensure the optimal performance of a system that is fundamental to the stability of the national electricity network.

Transformer Substation — Knitwear Manufacturing Facility, Nardò (Lecce)

Every project begins with a detailed assessment.

Critical electrical infrastructure. Managed with method, precision and a long-term vision.
